“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” Goethe

I’ve always considered my goals as points on a map whose primary purpose is to provide some structure to the journey so I can pretend I’m not just wandering around until I die which we pretty much all are, no matter we stride purposefully from one arbitrary point to another like some purse clutching tourist who read somewhere it is safest to look like you know where you’re going at all times.

Because there really is nothing but the journey, such purse clutching, like clock watching, only serves to distract the traveler from the territory they might otherwise be exploring with curiosity and delight.

Three morals in this story,
1. We all begin and end in the same place.
2. So the value is in the adventures you have along the way.
3. And who you become as a result of them.
Yours with creativity and imagination,
Darlene
