Luxury is day when meetings don’t begin until noon so I can start the morning in my jacuzzi bathtub, re-reading the classics. I can read a book a half dozen times and each time some new insight pops out. Case in point, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.

“People frequently believe the creative life is grounded in fantasy. The more difficult truth is that creativity is grounded in reality, in the particular, the focused, the well observed or specifically imagined.

As we lose our vagueness about our self, our values our life situation, we become available to the moment.

We become original because we become something specific: an origin from which work flows.”

Three morals in this post:

1. A long soak in the jacuzzi tub with favourite book is one of life’s great luxuries.
2. It is possible to imagine something so specifically that it crosses the line between fantasy and reality.
3. As we lose our vagueness about our self, we become an origin from which work flows.

Yours with creativity and imagination,
Darlene
